simonw Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 I'm presuming a swollen battery, but would like to know if this might be caused by impact. Is this repairable? Many thanks
GuyJD Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Definitely looks like a swollen battery to me, How old is it? an apple store should sort that out for you for free, if not it's not difficult to replace batteries on those, there are plenty of YouTube tutorials. 1
ollyyllo Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 (edited) If you are going to do it yourself, check the LCD isn't cracked as well. You may also need a replacement digitiser too, they are difficult to remove without breaking (...well I always end up breaking them ), but that swollen battery actually might make it easier to leaver off.
