duzzie Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Hi, I am just finalising our Windows 10 deployment and having trouble with explorer window, We use this so mapped network drives show but I need to remove/disable the File, Manage, View tabs. Is there a way to do this? Thanks
Guest mrtems1 Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Most of the options you'll need are in Group Policy. User Configuration > Admin Templates > Windows Components > File Explorer "Start File Explorer with Ribbon Minimized" will probably be useful. There should also be options to remove/hide the manage/file views.
duzzie Posted June 30, 2017 Author Posted June 30, 2017 Thanks but already gone through all them settings and they don't work the same they did for Windows 7. Tried numerous settings and they either don't work on windows 10 or don't lock it down enough.
ifarmery Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 I used thie guide - Server 2012/Windows 8 – Ribbon UI: Disable Icons, Buttons, Shortcuts, Tasks, and Commands | Paper Street Online Ran the script on my main image and the control the options with GPO preferences.
jacobjb Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 Hi duzzie, My Windows 8 & 10 Ribbon Customizer ADM will help you resolve this issue. Regards, Jacob
