VMware Question regarding SAN

A friend of mine is in a situation and need my help. He has 2 VMware machines in a HA setup and has to connect a new SAN to them.

 

The SAN is ready to go on a different IP to the existing old SAN.

 

Can someone advise how to go about this? I've looked on line and everything I find is about how to add a SAN from scratch, but I don't know if the process is different when adding additional SAN or when is HA configuration.

Treat it like a new SAN, if you need to add extra IPs to NICs to get to it then you will need to sort that out but its just another new SAN so follow those steps. If you want to move data off it you can storage vmotion if your license covers that

The process should be the same. HA just needs every ESX node in the cluster to have access to the same storage and but can have multiple 'SANs' provisioning storage.
