fiza Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 (edited) Our Primary School have just purchased Mark Mate Mark Mate | Put the fun back into marking. - Home When we try to install the software it attempts to register the serial number but gets blocked by our Lighspeed filter. It tries to get to 'markmate.96.lt'. The category coming back for the block is security.malware. Does anyone use this software? I have emailed Schools Broadband to find out if this site is actually safe to allow. Edited May 24, 2017 by fiza

Mark Mate connects to a remote website to validate your serial number ... This should allow your computer to access the database and validate your installation. It's the whole domain that's been categorised: https://archive.lightspeedsystems.com/SubmitDomain.php?Domain=markmate.96.lt Likely that it's made some blacklist somewhere but that would be worth raising with the developer.
