techie17 Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Hi Is it possible from a licencing perspective to merge several school O365 tenants into a single one even if they are not part of a MAT? The schools and college in question are all run by the same senior management team and IT for all 4 sites are run by the same team. Each school has its own AD but i know i could link each site, and use one ADsync. All sites are constant trying to share information and this would make it even easier and a lot of staff travel between sites. Many Thanks
djm968 Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Can't see any issue from a licensing perspective as long as all schools are licensed.
techie17 Posted May 23, 2017 Author Posted May 23, 2017 In terms of setting up the new tenant, whats the best way round this? When you setup a tenant for a school, MS verify the establishment in order to get the free licences. We Do have a multi academy trust setup, just no schools in it yet. Would the best thing to do be to setup a new tenant under the MAT name then start to migrate everything? We also have some charity organisations that i would love to start using O365 and i know i can get free O365 licences with TT exchange and these would come under the singe tenant.
djm968 Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 That's exactly what I am in the process of doing for our MAT. The Trust already had a tenant and with three domains. Three further Schools will be migrated to the Trust Office tenant over the summer break..
