Hi All,

I've recently purchased some Boardworks SCORM packages**. I have uploaded them as a SCORM resource into a new course that I created. (minor hack to overcome file sizes).

Each lesson has its own moodle course (imported from sims), so there are several KS3 ICT courses, but I don't want several copies of the SCORM on the server so how do I share the resource across courses so that teachers can use it without having to re-upload the file. I'm testing on 1.9.

** - they could have done a really good job here, but unfortunately the usual ppt files in a zip/xml wrapper, but it was only £20 per course.

there is a site files folder too, but i'mthinking out loud, not sure if that would work for you.

According the tracker entry linked to above files in this folder can be accessed by anyone so I suppose it could work as a temporary fix.

Yes, you can put things in site files and it will be accessible by any course. Also, if you have access to the underlying system and it's a *nix machine, you can use symbolic links to fool moodle into thinking a file is in the courses file area when it is not.
