speckledegg Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Hi guys, Has anyone found a reliable and fast way of converting Publisher documents into Word format whilst preserving the formatting (e.g. images, text boxes...)? Some teachers don't have access to Publisher at home but do have Word - I did try converting to Word in Publisher but could only carry text across. Any help greatly appreciated! anselmtech
rich_tech Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 (edited) I know that Libreoffice can open publisher files at home if they are in a pinch, its free also. - Home | LibreOffice - Free Office Suite - Fun Project - Fantastic People - I told one of the staff at the school I worked in to use this as a means of opening publisher files on their mac as they were an avid mac user. You may see some slight formatting changes though. I don't think theres a direct conversion tool that I am aware of Also - if their office365 can't they just install the full suite at home from the tenancy ? Richard Edited May 17, 2017 by rich_tech 1
speckledegg Posted May 17, 2017 Author Posted May 17, 2017 We don't use Office 365 unfortunately so I will give LibreOffice a try! Thanks for the advice!
