TheCrust Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Hi everyone, We are looking to replace our Siemens phone system that is getting very long in the tooth. We've had proposals for varied solutions from Mitel to Panasonic - and a couple of responses suggested Ericsson-LG's iPECS solution. We had a demonstration of the iPECS setup yesterday and I'm wondering if anyone in Edugeek-land is using an iPECS system? If you are, could I ask for your feedback about what specific features you use and how you find it? Thanks in advance! Jim
dry Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 My previous school used an iPECS phone system. I didn't get heavily involved in the configuration of it, but the Network Manager seemed happy with it. We had various hunt groups and forward to x number after y rings etc. We had a problem with phone power supplies failing fairly frequently, but they were easily and cheaply replaced. I'm sure the latest hardware models have improved this (but equally using piggy-back PoE was a quick fix for this as most of our phones were sitting next to a PC with LAN connection). 1
