I have been in a meeting most of the day today but remoted in earlier to update the servers to prevent the virus. I am looking at WSUS now and have no idea what the update is under. I just cant see an update in there which matches the update to the server. I have mostly windows 7 clients.

Used WSUS a couple of times before but remember this is my new school which has caused me some issues! Any help is greatly appreciated!

Right click on updates and click import updates, that will open the Microsoft update catalog . You should have the updates if you have critical updates checked under options / products and classifications / classifications

I did that but in wsus it still does not seem to be there??? I order it by date and still cannot see it anywhere.

Go to Server Manager->Roles->Windows Server Update Services->Updaye Services->Updates, Now on the right hand pane use Serach to find KB4019264, In the results right click and select Approve. Job done

Nearly however when i click approve i get a message saying that the files for this update have not been downloaded yet even though i imported them from the store.

How exactly are you importing them? Screen shot and annotate the process.

(A problem well documented is a problem nearly solved!)

Ok from the top

I open Windows Server Updates Services > I expand our server name and get the list of drop downs > I then right click on updates and press import updates > It brings me to the Microsoft update catalog > I search for KB4019264 > I Add both Windows 7 ones to the basket > I then press view basket > I press Import and the progress turns green to Done > I then press close > I go back to WSUS > Right click on Updates and press Search > Search for KB4019264 > Right click on the windows 7 x64 one > I press Approve > I then choose the unassigned computers and the other group and right click and approve for install > I get a message with an exclamation mark saying "the files for this update have not yet been downloaded. The update can be approved but will not be available to computers until the download is complete. > I press ok > I get a progress screen with all success.

That is what i have done so far. Please if anyone has an idea if i have done something wrong or not.

Our SCCM wasn't updating so we did a manual update around 350 machines.... What a mess....can't afford to wait and fix SCCM...... Manual update may be a quicker option at this point...
