Assigning House Roles in SIMS

From September we want to introduce an old fashioned HOUSE system within my school. I am currently looking at setting this up on SIMS. Firstly I wondered if any school in around or near Kent had done this recently and could share experience? And secondly I want to assign student roles i.e. house captain, house charity rep etc I can assign head of house but thats a staff member.

Could the answer be as simple as User Defined Fields? Depends what you want to do with the data once you have recorded it. UDF's can be included in most reports though.

You can assign a house on the pupil details screen. Set it up in Focus -> School -> Pastoral Structure.
