Hi guys,

Not gone to Win10 yet but am worried about how you control the large updates like the anniversary update and 1703 etc. I presume these work differently in a domain than they do at home but I don't want a teacher to restart a laptop and find it is out of use for an hour while an OS upgrade happens.

Has this been a problem for you on Windows 10, or do these not automatically happen on domain joined machines? Or is there a GPO to prevent these upgrades but allow normal Windows updates?

Cheers.

Do these show up in a new category in WSUS that you can de-select?

We generally allow all updates of the main categories.

Do some wsus updates need approving manually even though they fall into the Automatic Approvals? Got quite a few updates that are not approved but should be?
