MatthewL Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Looking to purchase the above for home, can't find anything other than a Surface that is of any use, there seems to be very few places to buy it online and all of similar price including Currys. Any recommendations for other online retailers worth a look at?
Arthur Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 (edited) Any recommendations for other online retailers worth a look at? Amazon.it are currently selling the Galaxy Tab S3 for less than Curry's and ship to the UK. www.amazon.it/dp/B06XBTJDLG (32GB, Black) €667.82 (~£561.53) www.amazon.it/dp/B06XC4597Y (32GB, Silver) €645.99 (~£543.17) If you're not in a rush, Motorola are working on a new Android tablet that should rival the Tab S3 and might be cheaper? www.androidpolice.com/2017/05/04/exclusive-motorola-is-working-on-a-moto-tablet-will-bring-a-new-productivity-mode-to-android Edited May 9, 2017 by Arthur
Arthur Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 I also found an S3 on eBay for £523.49 from a business seller in Germany... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172653195398
MatthewL Posted May 9, 2017 Author Posted May 9, 2017 I'm always dubious of buying from overseas especially large amounts like this. Sometimes I'd rather spend a little more just to get it in the UK. Interesting re Motorola, I have been waiting since Christmas for the Tab 3. In all honesty I don't know what I want. I was hoping the S2 would come down in price and was going to get that but its a little dated now and the price hasn't really dropped. I only want a modern tablet for internet and email when I am travelling rather than have a laptop. I would use it for a bit of work stuff as the tablet would be better than the device they laptop they give. Ideally something Windows is what I want but the Surface is well out of my league at the moment. Someone did mentioned AMD have upped their game with processes which makes their laptops a bit cheaper. Thoughts?
MatthewL Posted May 24, 2017 Author Posted May 24, 2017 Been looking again tonight as I was in Tesco and having a play, tempted to get the Tab A (comparison here) in the 32GB one, fraction of the cost for similar spec. Thoughts.
ColinP Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Im looking for a decent android tablets as well. At the moment my only must have is usbC so the chargers dont get mashed up
Danp Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 I use my S2 daily, work provided and prefer it to the iPad Air it replaced.
MatthewL Posted June 9, 2017 Author Posted June 9, 2017 I ended up with a S2 and cannot fault it, perfect for what I need.
