here's my findings

One thing I found bizarre about your article is how you talk about the anonymous domain registration of eugdpr.org (and other dodgy stuff) and yet you lie about the browser you are using. Don't you think that's also dishonest and slightly hypocritical?

If you Google "Lion browser" or "'Lion' browser" almost all of the results are for the Lion Accountability Browser and not Brave which is the browser pictured in your screenshot.

wsimg.com – can anyone throw any light on exactly what this is?

This domain is used by GoDaddy's website builder to host images and scripts for websites created with it.

Visit eugdpr.org in red panda browser (a.k.a. Firefox :p) and it confirms that it was built using the same website builder.

None of the scripts blocked by Brave look particularly suspicious. Load any of GoDaddy's showcase websites and you will see the same wsimg.com domains being blocked by the script blocker.

Regarding the scripts on "the homepage of EU GDPR"...

duel.js is being used as a static site generator (so the website doesn't need a backend database). Similar to Hexo or Jekyll, but not as popular.

This is a widget that enables visitors to easily share a link to the page to various social media sites.

This is time and date related.

Interestingly, this site did not have an EU Cookie Policy warning.

Not all cookies require consent. There are numerous exemptions...

To me, eugdpr.org just looks like a typical spammy website that's trying to cash in on the forthcoming EU law.

Even well-known companies like Kingston are trying to make quick buck with the GDPR. :(
