gmonks Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Hello, We have a terminal server setup (VM) and internally its fine, but when we have several uses connected it to it externally it can be extremely slow and this is obviously causing complaints. Our ISP is adamant there is no limit on bandwidth etc but the terminal server isn't slow when I use it internally. The terminal server has 8 cores and 24GB of RAM and I don't think adding more would make much of a difference. Has anybody experienced this issue? Cheers
RobD Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 (edited) If its not the ISP (probably is) then what about your firewall? Does it not handle multiple TCP connections to a single IP well?? Edited May 3, 2017 by RobD words
DMcCoy Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 What is the internet connection download/upload speed? How are the users accessing the remote server? Which ISP?
cpjitservices Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Have you got a firewall throttling incoming connections ? What device have you got at the edge of your network ?
