DCUK6 Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Hi All, Has anyone found a way of disabling the pinch zoom on the touchpad? They've got the Synaptics touchpads and its driving everyone mad as they keep zooming in their desktops etc. Current looking through the registry to try and see something changing when I alter the setting. Thanks
GuyJD Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 I'd be interested to know if there is a solution too, I've lost count of the number of times I've booted up a laptop to see huge desktop icons.
DCUK6 Posted May 3, 2017 Author Posted May 3, 2017 Yep, and we have a lot of a certain brand where the touchpad is so sensitive. Browsed for a while and cant seem to find anything when you have the synaptics drivers installed.
mikemcsharry Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Having this problem with an infant school with lenovos, Win 10 Synaptics drivers. I have found a solution in the control panel - mouse properties. ->Device settings shows synaptics driver 'in the ps/2 port' On the tab there is a settings tab Click on that you'll see one finger, multi finger and advanced Under multi finger there's two finger, three finger and four finger info. I found this https://superuser.com/questions/1078418/disable-pinch-to-zoom-on-a-windows-10-pc-with-normal-non-precision-touchpad I'm not sure how well this works - I've found the registry key for each user who has logged on On one laptop I uninstalled the synaptics driver - rebooted and .. I'll finish this post when the Winows 10 update decides I can play again
