Surface 8.1 RT - HOW DO YOU DO IT

Hi all,

 

Recently, I've been given the task of managing Surface RT Tablets. I am wondering how you manage them, and if there is any possible way of getting some control, whether it be by scripts updating local group policies from a remote template, or doing them one by one (rather not). I have had a look at InTune, but our school simply can not afford it, even the education version.

 

Unfortunately as they had bought all these tablets before I started, we are stuck with them.

 

Also, do you use Microsoft accounts per classroom, or 1 account for all, or even just local accounts everywhere, and what is the restrictions on installing apps from the store?

 

So if anyone has any tips or ways to manage these without paying for it, it would be highly appreciated because I'm running out of ideas.
