Fed up with rubbish exchange rates at CEX etc...

Hi guys, not been around for a little while, new job all hands to the deck.

 

So in my downtime i really have been blitzing some recent releases and thought i should get rid of some of my older titles so i went to my local CEX with a load of games and was a little disappointed with the options they offer (yes I am aware overheads etc...), so i thought i would come up with my own alternative option!

 

I now have up and running Welcome to Trade Game » Trade, sell or buy your favourite video games!

 

The concept is really simply list your game/s, for sale (at a price you want!), trade (for a game you want) or both!

There is no fee for listing!

and then wait for the offer to come in.

The site is in its infancy and it is going to get better (probably merge with http://www.genxgamer for news ect)

I am about to do some national advertising for this but the best thing about this is the more people that know about it the better chance you have of trading or selling your game! - so list and spread the word.

I like the idea. Could you have a recommended price page, I know that there is thousands of games but maybe the most common prices for popular games. So 5 copies of FIFA 16 all sold for £20-30. Would give an idea of what we could possibly get.

Not too bad an idea. If you could (and I know it would be a lot of programming, so I'm just spitballing an idea) have a way for people to request games, too, and graph the amount of supply vs demand, it could help.

 

Thanks to Steam/GOG/GMG/etc think this will certainly be bigger for consoles than it would be for PCs.. I s'pose people could still shift CD keys. Just make sure you don't become the next G2A >.<

Oh, *now* I see this. *grumble grumble*. Just sold a bunch of Xbox One games at CEX.

 

Also, can I recommend having a different payment processor? Paypal is expensive in comparison to places like Stripe.
