Quatermass Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 1. Can an ordinary workstation user (who is not a local admin) successfully use the "Check for update" button in the Solus3 Agent Notifier? 2. If a gradual network-wide deployment is in progress and that user's workstation hasn't updated yet, can they do 1 to "jump the queue"?
FN-GM Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 1. Yes 2. When you deploy updates the server will update all clients at once. There isn't a queue as such. However there can be a time period before the client knows about an upgrade so you can use the check for update button to hurry it. 1
SimonCygnetIT Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Hi 1. Yes. It is the agent that polls back to the server to request the update and it then triggers if it is needed. 2. depends on what your setting is for concurrent downloads in SOLUS 3 on the server is. If the network deployment isn't at that limit then yes it should then be able to "jump the queue" and request the download. 1
