Chromebook record and store audio to be burned later

Howdy! Our school just went 1:1 chromebooks this year and with assessments coming up, I've got a bit of a pickle on my hands. I need to have about 10 chromebooks able to record audio and then save it somewhere to be accessed later on a desktop and then burned to a disk. Ideally looking for a free and easy solution, but understand that there may have to be some app purchases to make this feasible. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

We use SoundTrap for audio recording and editing on Chromebooks. There is a per-user per-year cost involved, but it's pretty reasonable and you can re-assign licenses as needed between pupils, or you could create generic "Exam1", "Exam2", etc accounts to assign the licenses to. Google are currently promoting SoundTrap, WeVideo and Expain Everything as a bundle, licenses for which aren't much more than individual licenses for any one of those applications.

I think I'm going to try and use Mic Note since it's free and we're at the end of the year. But I did just get some WeVideo licenses to pilot the platform and it's been very popular so I'll check out that bundle option. Thanks loads!!!
