Hi All,

 

Not sure if I am posting this in the correct place but I am having issues with teachers/students using the app inventor emulator on our dedicated android phones. When the students attempt to emulate their project, the phone prompts for their user account and hangs. I have a feeling this maybe to do with the Google SSL certificate as https://google.com appears be the only website getting blocked when I check the lightspeed report. If I set the phones IP address to allow all, this works fine but I dont want to allow all for student mobiles although the IT teacher keeps asking me too.

 

I have tried applying the Google certificate via the lightspeed rocket (http://rocketipaddress/lsaccess/proxycert) but it wants the phone to use a passcode and the IT teacher doesn't want the students have to use a simple passcode to get into the phone as it may confuse them - plus it didn't work anyway.

 

Has anyone else had these issues?

Hi

 

I am so sorry, it was the teacher being a complete plum! The students code was incorrect so he blamed me that our lightspeed filter was blocking it. Never got an apology. Typical!
