Group Policy preference not setting registry keys

Hi all,

 

I’m having issues with applying registry keys with Group Policy preferences. When I set a registry key to update it doesn’t apply the change. I’ve had a look in the event viewer on the target machine to see it says Access is Denied when trying to write the key update. I have changed the permissions on the registry and I’m still having the same problem. I think the problem is on the machine as all my other GPO preference’s work fine on the machine.

 

Does anyone have any ideas how I can solve this? I’m using Server 2012 R2 and the target machines are Win 7 and 10.
