Instagram windows store app and proxy servers - anybody got it working?

I'm wondering if anybody has had success in getting the windows store Instagram app to work with a non transparent proxy?

I've tried setting the winhttp proxy value with netsh as some have suggested but still no joy. I just keep getting URL time-out errors.

I can see using procmon that it's trying to talk direct to Instagram servers and not via our proxy server.

 

Is this just a feature of the app that it won't redirect to a proxy or am I missing something?
