Change Flag Settings Google Chrome Enterprise Deployment

Hello,

 

I need to change the following flag setting in Chrome for all our users. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can do this please?

Go to chrome://flags and change the "Enable Touch Events" setting from "Automatic" to "Enable".

It's not a perfect solution, but you could add --touch-events=enabled as a parameter in the Chrome shortcut.

Problem with that is we have it pinned on the Windows 10 start menu so that won't be an easy change

 

Plus after testing this it doesn't seem to work.

Just resurrecting this!

 

Did you manage to get those flags enabled domain wide? We are having the same problem and need to enable the touch flags too!

Just a quick update,

 

I discovered that flags are controlled by a file in the users AppData folder, see here for details; https://superuser.com/questions/489108/in-what-file-are-flags-set-in-google-chrome-being-saved

 

We ended up using a test machine to enable the flags we wanted and then copied that file from the test users AppData to a location on our DC. From there I then set a new file policy up to copy that file into place for all users when they log onto a computer.

 

So far, this seems to be doing the trick - However, we are still testing this, so proceed at your own risk!
