I have 2 large WIM files at the root of the RemoteInstall folder. I am pretty sure that these are the images that were imported into WDS.

What I am wondering is, if these files are needed after they have been imported as images within WDS?

Is there any way of being sure that these are not the live image files?

They get saved to /images// by default (you can actually skip the import step if you just save the image there to start with).

Do you maybe have a two copies of each? (one in the root and one in the folder above?).

If not, I guess the easiest way to see if they are needed would be to rename or move them and try and build a PC with one of the images?
