Hi everyone. I'm setting up Powerchute to control graceful shutdown of our server. It's a Hyper-V host with four VMs. I have a NIC installed and Powerchute is installed on the Hyper-V host and I can access it successfully from a browser. My question is about how to configure shutdown of the guests.

Should I add the guests as clients? (from the PowerChute Network Shutdown Clients Configuration page)

Should I rely on the fact that I have set up the Hyper-V host to shutdown its guests first if it receives a shutdown command?

Or as I set Powerchute up in Hyper-V mode, will it automagically send shutdown commands to the guests?

Thanks in advance :)

I have set mine only to notify the host. The hyperv host is set to switch off the VMs when it receives a shutdown command.
