phishphan Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Hello. So we're running Neverware on some machines here and I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on on how/if it's possible to VNC to the machine undetected. To clarify, on Windows-based student machines I install TightVNC as a service and only allow them to be viewed but not do any viewing. It's beautiful because we can drop in unannounced and see what they're doing in real-time. While we don't micromanage our students this way the ability has come in handy more than once in certain cases. I see there are some VNC extensions for Chrome browser but as mentioned, I don't want the students to have the ability to VNC. Thoughts or suggestions appreciated.
Arthur Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 I don't think unattended remote access on Chrome OS is possible. https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=585506 Nothing is allowed to run in the background when no one is logged in. 1
