howartp Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 When hitting 'reply with quote', if the message contains a hyphen, the reply box only contains text up to the hyphen. E.g. (QUOTE=AMLinington;1549881)Depending on the gradient of the hill, I usually park in gear if I'm on a slope - reverse for a downhill and first for an uphill. I'm sure it probably isn't healthy for the gearbox, but my car clonking someone else's isn't healthy for my bank balance. I don't park on hills that often though so it's only an occasional thing. (/quote) becomes (QUOTE=AMLinington;1549881)Depending on the gradient of the hill, I usually park in gear if I'm on a slope I've purposely changed [] to () to avoid formatting. Peter 1
Jawloms Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 (edited) Seems OK for me; actually I was always told that this was the recommended method of parking on a hill this was on my driving test (1979) and then on the Advanced Driving Test with the IAM as far as I know it doesn't do the gearbox any harm at all - unless it is already very broken Windows 10, Latest Chrome. ZeroHour Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Thanks for reporting, can you try clearing your cache initially, I will see if I can recreate it. I suspect it may be a IE11 bug. I am not sure how it would effect the app though. 1
