Hi all,

I've upgraded our server from Lync 2010 to 2013. However, the reception can't transfer the calls to other people it seems to cut them off. Other users can transfer calls but not reception. Is this to do with reception being a response group?

Any advice of where to look? There's no errors in the event viewer. I'm relatively new to Lync and must admit, don't enjoy working on it all that much :).

Thanks,

Have you tried looking in the Lync monitoring reports? It may give a clue where to look.

Did the transfers work ok before the upgrade?

Are you using sip or ISDN with a gateway?

Check the headset / phone handset and remove and re-do that on the machine. Also re-install Lync 2013 (AKA Skype for Business) Also watch what they are doing, I had it once with one of our reception staff and they were not actually working Lync right so a bit of training and test calling from and to mobiles solved all :)

@john unfortunately the headset was fine :).

Went through the errors that reported, and realised the refer option for the trunk needed to be none. I obviously got the wrong idea of the refer setting. I thought it would stop people allowing them to refer/transfer people to other phones. However, seems to be working now.
