Don't use it...

 

Waste of time and money however if for whatever reason I would then business store purchasing app quantities for deployment through SCCM as AppX packages (aka side loading).

Problem is all the good apps don't support this therefore you need Microsoft accounts...

We use the windows store for business along with applocker to make sure kids can't install apps we don't approve.

I always download programs from third-party websites. Since I upgraded to Windows 10, I haven't search for anything from Windows Store.

I have the Store app disabled using App Locker policies and removed all of the preinstalled modern apps in my base image. We don't use them at all.

Hi, Just wondering how you have disabled the store app with App Locker. Just having a go at removing it now and I'm struggling to find the store location so it can be blocked with App Locker

 

EDIT - we are running Win 10 pro and it doesn't show as packaged app to be blocked !!

Since this post back in March we've moved on to LTSB and it doesn't even include the Windows Store, so I can't confirm if this works on later builds of Windows 10, but here is what the GPO looked like:

If you deploy a store app via SCCM it just asks the user to install. So not great. It depends if your a school or college. You could leave it open but with the store for business. Sounds like Ms want to use progressive Web apps rather than native apps so it may go away in time.

Can you use the Windows Store for Business to cache and deploy updates to the default Windows 10 store apps (skype, mail, photos, etc)?

This is what WUDO is used for. Content gets shared by PCs within your network by default on Win 10 education. Or force Bits. I'm not sure how WUDO behaves behind proxy servers.
