Hi Guys

Hoping one of you can help me. We've been pretty much forced to finally move away from Apple Configurator 1 to 2. I have my Blueprints set up the way I want and added the apps to the blueprint by signing Apple Configurator into our VPP account, getting all our codes converted to Managed Licenses and imported them based on what we have on the VPP page.

Unfortunately it get's so far and then gets hung up on (assigning a license for "appnamehere") it just never moves from the first app to apply. I have contacted the guys who provide us with broadband and they watch the squid logs to see what the Mac is trying to access when applying the update although apparently the traffic from our Mac Server is considerably lower than all the other schools and apparently it isn't seeming to be doing a fat lot! We have ports 0 to 1700 open and 2195, 2196. Really baffled why it can't progress any help would be most appreciated!!

Thanks :)

We had similar issues moving to Configurator 2. I had to get the guys who supply our broadband to allow the Mac completely unfiltered access to the internet. We previously did have all of the recommended domains added to our whitelist but it wouldn't work.

I had this problem as well; couldn't figure out what the issue was for a couple days. After trying out various different things I noticed I couldn't even pull in new Apps onto Blueprints. Lo and behold, I signed out of Apple Configurator, which denoted by Macbook's username instead of the VPP account. I then signed in with the "correct" Apple School Manager account (not the old, original VPP account) and all things started working and flowing without issue.

FIX: make sure you are logged into Apple Configurator with your Apple School Manager account.
