Sanm2009 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 We use Smoothwall and work and use VPN to remote desktop into a server. I setup a laptop using my phone's portable hotspot. All test and it was fine. Now the user can connect to the VPN (from a council connection), but is unable to remote desktop in. The user can’t ping the server either. I have tested the VPN and remote desktop from another laptop (using phone hotspot)and it all works fine. Doesn’t seem to make any sense and I’m starting to thinkit could be to do with the users internet connect, does this sounds feasible. I’mguessing the are using a proxy server for connection. Any suggestions would be helpful.
