Data Manager

 

Hours: Full Time - to include approximately 1 in 3 Saturdays (08.00-13.00) during term time.

Salary: Grade 5 – up to £32,561 dependent on skills and experience

 

 

St Peter's School in York are seeking an experienced Data Manager/Developer to join the School’s IT department. Applications are welcomed from candidates with good knowledge of both managing and providing data to support the schools data needs across web applications, office systems and printed mediums. You are likely to have skills in web programing including Apache/PHP and Microsoft ASP/APSX with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. A working knowledge of Microsoft and MySQL databases and custom report writing from these platforms using SQL/SSRS and MySQL scripts. Knowledge of the iSAMS MIS would be advantageous as the post will hold responsibility for the input and output templates and production of the regular pupil reports into the parent and pupil web portals.

 

The successful candidate will join the IT team of 5, assisting in the support of the existing systems, servers and desktops, whilst helping implement, interface and migrate to new ones. You will need to possess excellent communication skills with the ability to provide support and training, without jargon, at all levels in an educational setting. You will need to be a delivery oriented team member who adopts a positive approach to the varied workloads and content associated with the post.
