CapnPugwash Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Apologies if this goes over old ground... All our machines are Win7. Users are pointed at a mandatory profile (one for staff, one for students) , these were created by my old boss. He put EVERYTHING in the profile, software settings, proxy settings, start menu stuff, mapped drives... so , as you can imagine, the profiles are bulky AND full of 'old' settings. We are starting to have a play with Windows 10, this is a good time for me to scrap the old profiles and put something together that's a bit slicker. Am interested to know what people think is 'the best' way forward... most of what is in the current mandatory profiles could be done in GPO's/GPP's
BKGarry Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Take a look a UE-V with a basic mandatory profile. That's what I'm looking at going forward once I figure out what is killing the start menu on windows 10 in our machine GPOs 1
