Data Analyst

 

At Cheltenham College, we are excited to be investing in our Business Intelligence, Data and Content Management services. We are launching new software, moving to cloud-based solutions and building our expertise. As part of this programme we are recruiting for a new role of Data Analyst.

 

As Data Analyst, you will be responsible for working with our support services and Academic colleagues to ensure the quality of our data and to develop analysis and reporting to support management decision and our continuing academic excellence. Led by our Deputy Head (IT Director) you will:

 

· Be a key member of the software implementation team

· Carry out data cleansing of our current information

· Collate data from different sources

· Develop data standards and key good practice techniques to maintain data integrity

· Analyse and report on the data to turn it into information

· Develop monitoring and reporting tools and presentation graphics to support the school as a business

 

The successful candidate will have enjoy working with statistical techniques and new technologies specifically:

 

· Office 365 including Outlook, Word, Excel and ideally Power BI

· Desirable - SQL and Access Database

· Awareness of all legal underpinning in the IT workplace in terms of Health and Safety/Data Protection/Freedom of Information and Copyright is essential.

 

Most importantly, you will need high attention to detail, self-motivation, a flair for handling and reporting on data and a keen curiosity about how good use of technologies can contribute as a central part of our delivery of excellence in education.

 

Salary circa £23,000 per annum, depending on experience. The post is full time, all year round.
