davyboi Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Anyone got one? what is it like? any negatives? My contract is up, and after sticking with Apple from the 3GS through to my current 5S I think it's time for a change. It looks like 02 are the only ones doing it on a contact so I'm considering going sim only and buying one outright, and as it is a fairy big sum to pay out, I wanted some real life unbiased opinions before I commit!
Arreks Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 It's quite nice. Feels nice to hold (v smooth though, I got a dbrand skin so I wasn't at risk of dropping as much). Very fast and Oxygen is a lot better now. My other daily is an iPhone 7 and it's comparable in terms of performance and camera!
synaesthesia Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I have a 3 rather than a 3T, and I guarantee both are far beyond anything Apple have out, and I try to say that without too much bias It's an excellent phone and certainly great value for money, holding up extremely well if not better than the premium grade phones from the likes of Apple or Samsung at twice the price. Build quality is excellent, OxygenOS is great and just works yet obviously retains the customisability we all love with Android in the first place. You won't get better than the 3T for price, that's certain. I couldn't warrant upgrading my 3 to a 3T but the improvements are certainly there 1
davyboi Posted February 10, 2017 Author Posted February 10, 2017 I can let you know from tomorrow...... So, what do you think to it?
tommej Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I've had one since release, I like it however after a week I dropped it onto a tile floor and cracked the screen a tiny bit.
davyboi Posted February 27, 2017 Author Posted February 27, 2017 Well I got one! The move from IOS to Android wasn't too painful. Managed to export contacts from iCloud and import into google contacts with a few clicks. First impressions, Very happy with it. Its fast, the dash charge is excellent from almost flat to fully charged in over an hour. The wooden case is excellent. But..... One massive downer, after 5 days it has a stuck pixel on the screen Thankfully because its within 15 days I'm eligible for Return or Replace service, so I'm replacing it (hopefully for a new one, not recon) So it looks like I'm back to the iPhone for a week or so (got to send it back to Poland) That is one of the big plus points for iPhone. Any issues with it and you can nip into your local store and they will usually replace it there and then.
synaesthesia Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Well for the price you pay for an iPhone, the least you can expect is someone to come to your home to fix it whilst also making tea, dinner and sexually gratifying your pets. 1
