ExtremeTech takes a look at Vista's hardware requirements for four mainstream PC usage types. Office, Multimedia Centre, Home Multimedia/Internet and High End Gaming. Given the hardware avalible today they try and put some systems together for each usage and go through the pro's and cons of each component. In paticular the DirectX 3d Accelerated GUI (AeroGlass) is covered. As it 64bit and Dual Core CPU's. PCI Express makes its inevitable appearance too.
