[ipad] Meraki MDM, Apple School Manager push certificate and Apple IDs.

When generating an Apple MDM push certificate through Meraki, what Apple ID are you all using?

Are you using a managed Apple ID from Apple school manager, or is this not possible?

Dont think it really matters what Apple ID you use as long as you have access to it to renew in 12 months time.

It DOES matter, when you renew you have to sign in with the original Apple ID that created it in the first place. If this is a new push cert request best practiice is to use an Apple ID that is not personalised to someone e.g. [email protected]

 

I very much doubt a managed Apple ID would work as this ID is only known and managed by you not Apple.

I use the one we created back in the day during VPP sign up (generic, along the lines of [email protected]). We also used it for DEP and since we updated to Apple School Manager, so it's now our Apple School Manager Administrator.
