Print Server not pushing updated settings

Hello,

 

I have a printer on a print server. I have made a change to the printer to use black and white as default. However the clients are not picking up this change, even on a freshly imaged machine. I have deploying the printer via a machine GPO by right clicking the printer in the print management and pressing deploy.

 

Any thoughts on this please?

May be a really silly question, but in a moment of madness I did this.

 

Have you changed it in the printer settings on the server or changed the printing defaults (2 seperate things)

 

On the advanced tab, there is a printing defaults button, it needs to be changed in there.

I have on both yes. Im thinking its a print driver issue, if I change the tray settings these push down to the clients without issue.
