The Central Learning Partnership Trust are seeking to appoint an apprentice Web Developer to assist in the design and development of bespoke systems for use across the Trust. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of the school ICT Team working closely with our web developer to maintain and develop Trust websites and systems.

The successful candidate will:

 


    [*=left]Liaise with the Network Manager and Web Developer regarding all existing web-based systems and new developments
    [*=left]Work with the Trust’s Graphic Design team to ensure design consistency across all web platforms
    [*=left]Advise and suggest ideas for new functionality and new developments in the Trust’s online portfolio
    [*=left]Develop and maintain new and innovative web-based systems and tools to further collaboration across the Trust
    [*=left]Prepare a design plan, showing the site structure and how the different parts link together
    [*=left]Test and improve the design and site until everything works as planned
    [*=left]Maintain current websites and mobile sites and applications, ensuring links work, content is current and up to date, and where appropriate, conforms to statutory requirements
    [*=left]Update and administer social media accounts to ensure the latest information is available and to help promote Trust schools
    [*=left]Use search engine optimisation techniques to ensure all Trust websites and systems have been optimised to attract and engage their target audience
    [*=left]Create and maintain SharePoint areas for Trust schools

The requirements for the role:

 


    [*=left]Be punctual, organised, friendly with a positive attitude, and with a good attention to detail
    [*=left]Be willing and able to complete all learning and assessment requirements of the relevant framework, with a strong interest in web development
    [*=left]Have GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent

There will be a possibility of a full time post as a web developer upon successful completion of the apprenticeship. You will be based at Heath Park.

Training will be provided by City of Wolverhampton College.

 


    [*=left]NVQ Level 3 in ICT
    [*=left]Functional skills in Maths and English
    [*=left]You will be required to attend the College’s Wellington Road campus in Bilston one day a week on Thursdays
