LeMarchand Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 Shhh! No-one tell Oscar that "Arrival" is SF; he'll revoke all those nominations! I'd expect it to get technical awards only, though. Not seen any of the films in the supporting actor category, but I'd like Mahershala(lhashbaz) Ali to win, mainly because it would be nice to see someone go from a supporting series regular (in "The 4400") to Oscar winner.

6Foot2 Posted February 27, 2017 Author Posted February 27, 2017 Link: La La Land mistakenly named best picture – video Moonlight has won best picture at the Academy Awards in a historic Oscar upset that saw Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty reading out the wrong winner. Shock and chaos spread through the Dolby Theatre when producers of La La Land were stopped in the middle of their acceptance speeches to be informed that Moonlight was the correct winner. Oops.
