Dos_Box Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 The weather at BETT is always one that I need to be well advised of, eapecially as we shall be there for a week and taking the wrong jacket down with you can be a hinderence. Too light and you freeze, to heavy and you end up sweating on the DLR and in the pub afterwards. Currently it looks like it's going to be wet/damp but mild which suits me fine I'll bet it changes whilst we are down there
john Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 You do know that its warmer here than t'north, up't north I need a winter coat, in London hoody and showerproof over it works fine

Light and windproof and I can wear another layer underneath. I still recall BETT 2009/10? when it snowed and we were still staying in Kensington. Oooh, took us all of 3 mins to find a taxi to take us to Olympia as the poublic transport system ground to a halt! 2

That was a fun year with cancelled trains and crazyness! I think Goretex and a layer that is easily removed underneath sounds a good plan 3

GrumbleDook Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 I still recall BETT 2009/10? when it snowed and we were still staying in Kensington. Oooh, took us all of 3 mins to find a taxi to take us to Olympia as the poublic transport system ground to a halt! That was the year of LWF as well? Recovering from Flu I had tons of stuff to get from the train station to the hotel (other side of British Library) and collapsed at the taxi rank. Got a raft of expletives because I only wanted to go round the corner ... and then we watched a heavily laden bloke go apex over cranium ... so the cabbie let me in the taxi and took the fare.
