Got a problem with our windows 10 computers. It will not update automatically.

 

Could someone share there GPO setting please. (Just to double check mine.)

Ok heres mine. Wonder if i have set this right:

 

Windows Components/Windows Update

Policy Setting Comment

Allow Automatic Updates immediate installation Enabled

Allow non-administrators to receive update notifications Disabled

Allow signed updates from an intranet Microsoft update service location Enabled

Automatic Updates detection frequency Enabled

Check for updates at the following interval (hours): 1

 

Policy Setting Comment

Configure Automatic Updates Enabled

Configure automatic updating: 4 - Auto download and schedule the install

The following settings are only required and applicable if 4 is selected.

Install during automatic maintenance Enabled

Scheduled install day: 0 - Every day

Scheduled install time: 16:00

Install updates for other Microsoft products Disabled

Got a problem with our windows 10 computers. It will not update automatically.

Which version of Windows 10 are you installing? v1607 has a known issue with WU not being able to talk to WSUS server(s).

 

To fix, either integrate the latest cumulative update into your install.wim or download the new ISO (released a couple of days ago).

Running Windows 10 Education 1607 release here, no issues approving updates or computers checking in......

@newpersn. Does removing the ports for your WSUS server make any difference? In Chuckster's screenshot there aren't any ports specified.

 

sorry for the delay. Ive updated and removed the port in the group policy. WSUS wont let me the view any reports but i did notice that its maxing the ram and CPU. Just rebooted and added some more ram to (from 6gb to 10gb of ram, This server also does VL, WDS/MDT, and other things)

 

Also seen a few computers wanting restarts after hours so i hope it sorted it self out
