JBOD Storage

Hi all,

 

Been tasked to look into upgrading & updating our local storage systems.

currently have a 2x Dell 2950/NF500 Powervaults which are due for replacement

1x NX3200 (purchased within the last 2 years)

currently just using them for "flat file & share storage"

 

Thinking that a JBOD Unit would attached to the NX3200 + storage spaces would be the way to go for flexibility cost and performance, there are some old thread relating to people using such a set up so looking for information on:

 

Hardware Used

Environment it is used in

Pro's and Cons on what you have used and experiences.
