Link 1: New Monopoly Tokens | Vote in All-New Game Tokens

 

No Monopoly play token is safe. Up for (potential) replacement:

 

Automobile, Battleship, Cat (replaced the Iron–a super underrated token–in 2013), Scottish Terrier, Shoe (or Boot if you prefer), Thimble, Top Hat, Wheelbarrow

 

The 57 new icons that are available for voting upon include:

 

(Formula One style) Race Car, Bathtub, Beachball, Bicycle, Bowtie, Bunny Slipper, Camera, Cellphone, City Boat, Computer, Cowboy Boot, Cowboy Hat, Crying With laughter Emoji, Cuff Links, Ducky, Fire, Fish, Flip-Flop, Grammaphone, Hashtag, Helicopter, Horse, Jet Ski, Key, Kissy Face Emoji, Life Preserver, Moneyclip, Monster Truck, Motorbike, Mr. Monopoly Emoji, Penguin, Plane, Pocket Watch, Rabbit, Race Car, Rain Boot, Rollerskate, Rooster, Rotary Phone, Sail Boat, Scooter, Shoe, Sliced Bread, Smiley Face Emoji, Sunglasses, Surfboard, T-rex, Tennis Shoe, Thumbs Up Emoji, Tortoise, Trumpet, TV, Typewriter, Watch, Wheel, Wink Face Emoji

 

All of the new game tokens are gold coloured.

Monopoly is about having the fattest wallet, so they should all be replaced except maybe the Ship and the Top Hat :p

 

Give me the Helicoptor (or Aeroplane), Bank of Monopoly (at least, that's what it looks like) and other "I have more money than I know what to do with" type purchases/investments.

Bring back the iron!

 

We have a gold plated Monopoly set already from the olden days! Mahogany board and everything, its all the old school pieces, which is good because I only play as the iron!

..."We were a little bit surprised that the thimble got among the lowest votes because it's been in the game for so long," said Jonathan Berkowitz, senior vice president of marketing for Hasbro Gaming.

 

And it may not be the only piece retired. Hasbro won't reveal the final results of the vote until March 19, and Berkowitz said "there is a possibility other classic pieces were also voted out."

 

Is the thimble gone forever, though? Maybe not. "We never say absolutely forever," Berkowitz said...
