Today Iv'e been setting up a test Windows Lenovo X121e 64 bit Thinkpad. All seems to have gone well, but unfortunately the Lenovo support tools from their support site don't give me a download option for a wireless driver.

Not sure if it's any help but I have a similar laptop - I just installed a bios that allows any wifi card to be installed - I've used a intel AC7260 and it was no bother in windows 10.

Thanks @caffrey having experienced major issues with Lenovos in the past even just on trying to flash the BIOS I tend to steer well clear of anything to do with that nowadays.

It just annoys me massively that it seems Lenovo fail to provide a complete update option for the OS. On the other hand I upgraded an Acer laptop today and that went from 7 to 10 seamlessly.

I didn't experience any issues with BIOS, but like you said once bitten - I just searched for bios with whitelist removed. There are other cards listed that are in the whitelist , may be worth investigating ?
