£65 a day isn't a lot, plus you have the expense of living on a ship!

accomodation is free, so that would just leave food unless there is anything else to pay. The caribean and mediterainen ( however you spell it lol ) though sounds nice Not that Im applying for it just ive never seen an IT job on a cruise ship or ship before, maybe thats just me + living under a rock lol.

Is it an 8 hour day, or would you be expected to work as and when required? How many days of the week are you expected to work? Assuming that a cruise lasted 7 days, would you have 7 days on and 7 days off? And does that mean that you'd get paid for the first week, and nothing for the second, effectively halving your rate of pay. Or, as I imagine, you'd be rushed off your feet for half a year or so, then find yourself doing little in the winter months.

Depending on your age and commitments (family, mortgage, etc.) I don't think £65 a day is all that bad - some of us techies get less than that. Your accommodation is free, there's a staff discount, and no doubt, duty free goods. You may even be able to save some money. I would say that if you match the job criteria and you're young, single and renting accommodation, this doesn't sound such a bad deal for a few years. Do you think this would this look good on a future cv?

Just had someone I know return from a similar sounding job (have asked to see if it is actaully her old job) ... and it varies in working hours.

 

Somedays 9-5, others 2-10, even 72 hours with nap breaks (a massive LAN party she hosted).

 

Part trainer, part techie, part A/V specialist, part sales rep ... and full-time host for what is effectively a glorified cyber cafe and computer tv channel.
