IT Systems Solution Architect / Sharepoint / SQL – Cambridge

Up to £35,000 (dependent on experience) plus benefits package.

Full time position - 37½ hour week with 6 weeks annual leave (plus bank hols).

Our client, a highly respected school in Cambridge with an exceptional Ofsted report and approximately 1,100 pupils have an urgent requirement for an IT Systems Solution Architect to manage the school’s SharePoint infrastructure and develop / maintain their web and database systems.

 

As the successful candidate, your duties will include the following :

· Overall responsibility for continuing the SharePoint (2013) development and migrating academic departments from the school’s SharePoint (2010) platform.

· SharePoint Farm Administration, Configuration and Maintenance

· Using SharePoint designer to configure and manage workflows.

· End user training and application of SharePoint governance.

· Managing service applications (Business Data Connectivity, User Profiles and Search Service).

· Maintaining content databases.

· Development of web based solutions, creating new sites and configuring UI features.

· Use of Rest API.

· Managing and configuring SQL databases.

· SQL queries and Reporting Services (SSRS).

· UI Development and Graphic Design.

· Working with 3rd parties to implement new applications and investigating/resolving issues with current applications.

· Working with the IT department to ensure the smooth operational function of the school, across the different sites.

· Assisting the Junior Database and Systems Developer with her roles and responsibilities.

 

To be considered for this position, you will have :

· An IT/Computer Science related degree or equivalent or significant workplace experience.

· Relevant professional qualifications (i.e. SharePoint Server or SQL Server).

· Working knowledge of HTML, Java Script, VB/ASP.net, CSS and PHP.

· Knowledge of IIS.

· Knowledge PowerShell.

· Experience with SharePoint Designer.

· Excellent communication skills including the ability to develop and manage relationships internally with all levels of staff and with external organisations and contractors.

· Strong analytical skills.
