Stormborn15 Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 We're a very heavy user of GAFE. Everything is on Google Drive. Noticing lately that google chrome pages and especially drive can take a very long time to load. Broadband download speeds are extremely good - so don't think it is a Broadband issue... I've googled several things I'm going to try out tomorrow , but any experiences and how you resolved it would useful. Ps - accessed via wireless devices. TIA
dhicks Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Broadband download speeds are extremely good - so don't think it is a Broadband issue... If you don't think it's anything local (local wireless / network performance), and your external bandwidth seems okay, then the next place to check is with Google themselves. As a corporate / schools customer there is actually a support telephone number to call, so you might be able to get Google advice on what to check. It could be that, seeing a lot of traffic from one IP address, Google are rate-limiting your service, which is something to check with them. 1
Stormborn15 Posted December 21, 2016 Author Posted December 21, 2016 Great tip @dhicks - thank you [emoji4]
TwistedHelixis Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Firewall & ports would be a good place to look. We recently had a slow Google Drive and it turned out the LA had changed some of the firewall ports. 1
Stormborn15 Posted December 21, 2016 Author Posted December 21, 2016 Will def look into this as well @TwistedHelixis
crc-ict Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Did you ever get anywhere with this? We are having the same problem, although ours seems to be related to establishing HTTPS connections in general. It is getting quite difficult to use Google Apps for us at the moment. Be grateful if you could share any info. 1
