Students seeing mapped drives that they shouldn't be?

Our Junior School students have started to get staff areas mapped to This PC. We can't find anything in their AD account or GP that would be causing this. Just wondering if anyone has had this issue before?

Is there security filtering on the group policy object? If so is it still in place?

Are you using group policy preferences to target the drive to staff only?

Is group policy applying correctly and fully on the PCs? Any changes recently, like new PCs with solid state drives? If so you'd need to slow things down, enabling the setting "wait for network before logging on" or whatever it was so the computer doesn't jump ahead of the network with it's new fancy speediness.

They are laptops with new SSD's with Windows 10. I believe we've got the "wait for network before logging on" set, I'll double check. They use a login script to assign drives via sec groups, I've checked all the students and they're in the right groups. I've read somewhere that SSD's can boot before group policy has properly applied, anyway to delay the boot until this has happened?

That's exactly what that aforementioned policy does.

I would strongly suggest trying mapping of drives with group policy preferences rather than script, have always found it generally more reliable but mileage tends to vary over different setups.
