Win 10 + Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.x/14.x

Recently as of yesterday any of my Windows 10 machines with Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.0 installed are now borked, with the dreaded blue screen stating inaccessible_boot_device.

I have had to rebuild a handful of machines back to Windows 7, but in the meantime tried figuring out what's going on with Windows 10.

I've rebuilt a machine with Windows 10 with all the software required bar SEP, and it works great. The second SEP gets installed I end up with the blue screen.

Anybody experienced this?

I am about to log a call with Symantec for a resolution to this.

A Symantec engineer just confirmed that there is indeed a problem with one of the updates that causes this failure of inaccessible_boot_device.

Their suggestion was to disable secure boot if it's enabled in the BIOS, to which I responded that we do not have secure boot on any of our workstations, so that's left him stumped. I am now expecting a call back in the next half hour with another suggestion/solution.
